This team is consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and shaping a future where technology and defense unite to protect our nation and allies.<br><br>As a Mission Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering our products and solutions down the “last mile” to our customers. You will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way to meet our customer's requirements. You will act as the technical subject matter expert that is present and available “in the room” to address questions, concerns and comments from customers and cross functional partners. Above all, Mission Software Engineers are driven by a “Whatever It Takes” mindset—executing in an <em>expedient</em>, <em>scalable</em>, and <em>pragmatic</em> way while keeping the mission top-of-mind and making sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes correctly, on-time, and with high quality.</p>
<h3><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO </strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Own and deliver software solutions directly to customers, both from our office and in a forward-deployed model on customer sites in Europe.</li>
<li>Present and demo software solutions both internally and externally.</li>
<li>Interface with customers to understand, distill and translate their desires into engineering requirements.</li>
<li>Design and write code to build upon existing products to meet customer requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionalities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with AR/VR specialists to integrate mixed reality sensors, displays, and spatial mapping capabilities.</li>
<li>Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next-steps.</li>
<li>Travel to customers (domestic and international) to build, test, present, demo and deploy capabilities.</li>

<h3>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Able and willing to travel up to 30% of time (domestic and international)</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to succinctly interface with non-technical partners, customers and teammates.</li>
<li>Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics</li>
<li>5+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases</li>
<li>A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact</li>
</ul>
<h3>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience or strong interest in developing mixed reality or simulation applications</li>
<li>Background in military doctrine</li>
