<h3>ABOUT THE JOB</h3>
<p>Anduril’s Design Team is seeking a Principal Industrial Designer, Warfighter Systems to join our team in our Bellevue, WA office. As a Principal Industrial Designer supporting the EagleEye program, you will be at the forefront of<br>designing a family of mixed-reality systems including helmets, visors, and smart glasses to provide soldiers with real-time situational awareness, augmented perception, and the ability to control unmanned systems through unified digital interface. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating optics, sensors, compute, and AI capabilities into wearable products while ensuring exceptional usability, comfort, and durability in the most demanding environments. <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4>
<ul>
<li>Lead Industrial design efforts for next-generation soldier-worn devices integrating advanced technologies while delivering comfort, utility, and ruggedization</li>
<li>Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design documentation</li>
<li>Support form language and product development for helmets, smart glasses, body worn compute/sensing, controllers and apparel</li>
<li>Partner closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and human factors translating real-world mission needs into human-centered hardware</li>
<li>Conduct deep user testing with colleagues, military proxies, and active-duty warfighters to validate fit, ergonomics, and performance</li>
<li>Rapid iteration of prototypes for feedback, validation, and insight to inform hardware improvements</li>
<li>Develop new interaction models, including input devices, controllers, HUD integrations, and future augments for connected systems</li>
<li>Participate and share work in design reviews with senior leadership and external partners</li>
</ul>
<h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h4>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 10 years professional experience as an industrial designer developing products such as XR glasses, wearables, and consumer electronics</li>
<li>Exceptional craft, strong form-function intuition, and the artistic precision</li>
<li>Expert proficiency in sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, Rhino 3D), and generating high-quality 3D renders (Keyshot, Cinema 4D/Blender experience is a plus)</li>
<li>Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture and validate ergonomics and human factors</li>
<li>Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturing</li>
<li>A reliable self-starter, organized, efficient with attention to detail</li>
<li>A team player with the ability to handle complex projects in a fast-moving environment</li>
<li>Experience developing ruggedized products a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of general military application and authenticity is a plus</li>
