Quality Inspector-Optical Testing

As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.</p></div><p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <p>The Optical Testing Quality Inspector will support the Manufacturing/Production teams, and be responsible for executing detailed optical testing and inspection processes necessary to ensure quality products in a timely manner. You will partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to execute optical testing and support laser system production.</p> <p>Daily responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li data-uuid="81df4cc7-a29e-4837-83a3-ade6f055d67a">Executing optical test procedures using power meters, beam profilers, spectrometers, and interferometers</li> <li data-uuid="490fbe67-8d4c-45cd-80b3-09a91586e99d">Inspecting incoming materials, equipment, and optical/laser products to ensure quality specifications are met</li> <li data-uuid="81105d03-56c3-4a73-9721-8bcbf2ce76a5">Performing laser beam quality measurements, power output testing, and wavelength characterization</li> <li data-uuid="4ecb41f8-72c2-4d00-b74c-d1571a279162">Setting up optical test benches and performing precision optical alignment using autocollimators and alignment telescopes</li> <li data-uuid="9e90fcd3-4402-4d07-a977-ca24bfd68bd5">Investigating/troubleshooting product and production issues and taking corrective action</li> <li data-uuid="31a47006-ee40-4fe7-ac21-288d7ae7a6f4">Documenting optical performance data and maintaining accurate records of measurements, alignments, and system configurations</li> <li data-uuid="c361e38d-f874-40e6-9e48-5758827bd445">Implementing standards/specifications/processes cross-functionally with Quality Teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="d56a548a-b213-4728-9d1f-3275dda77f29">Associate degree in Photonics Technology, Optical Engineering Technology, or related technical field</li> <li data-uuid="b7bd3036-028d-4f55-9814-a2a1fa0c8494">4+ years of hands-on experience in optics, laser systems, or photonics manufacturing</li> <li data-uuid="35f732a6-d7ae-47ae-85cb-cddc7ea05416">Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)</li> <li data-uuid="fe2a7d37-9243-4172-8852-4ecfef0a598b">Proficiency with optical test equipment (power meters, beam profilers, spectrometers, interferometers)</li> <li data-uuid="1e43e28e-3712-4aee-b671-ea562b6b1436">Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical circuit diagrams, specifications, and assembly procedures</li> <li data-uuid="5367894f-8db2-406a-bf43-0ff6e6e5c8ae">Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) knowledge, understanding dimension and tolerancing</li> <li data-uuid="41a2e7fe-9116-494f-8ca1-3822f1ec6e9a">Experience with inspection of machined parts and mechanical assemblies</li> <li data-uuid="968333c0-3170-473c-835e-a8a300493615">Knowledge of laser safety protocols and optical component handling</li> <li data-uuid="2359dbdf-88cf-4a75-b89b-3cdb29ce6812">Experience in a facility with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 or similar QMS standard</li> <li data-uuid="93f302e5-0849-4090-8e91-428699b8103f">U.S. Person Status is required as this position needs to access controlled data</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="b70f1ecb-61eb-4e85-8324-60172e462fb7">Technical or Associates de ...
