If you are interested in working in an extremely innovative and fast paced environment, where your work directly makes an impact and difference in the products that are fielded this a fantastic opportunity.<br><br><br><u><strong>What you’ll do</strong></u></h4> <ul> <li>As a Flight Test Engineer under minimal supervision, you will determine and develop various approaches to achieve TE goals for a Small UAS/Quadcopter and help guide and perform the completion of test activities.</li> <li>This position will focus heavily on new SUAS/Quadcopter aircraft development, with an emphasis in electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, rugged design, and quality at scale.</li> <li>Test duties include system and sub-system level TE of hardware and software. As part of this process you will support or lead in test planning, establishing test measures of success, test conducting (ground and flight), analyzing test performance, and driving process improvement/development.</li> </ul> <h4><u><strong>Required Skills</strong></u></h4> <ul> <li>5+ years sUAS flight test engineering experience and a bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.</li> <li>Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.</li> <li>Previous experience in working with energetics, explosive hazard handling and operation procedures, and Electronic Safe-Arming Device (ESAD) are preferred.</li> <li>Must have a complete understanding of and passion for SUAS/Quadcopter engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expansive knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.</li> <li>Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.</li> <li>Strong software and documentation experience.</li> <li>Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.</li> <li>Able to work extended hours as required.</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.</li> <li>Ability to travel as required for planning and testing.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$146,000</span><span class="divider"></span><span>$194,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compe ...
