<h2>About the job</h2>
<p>We are seeking a Machine Learning/Computer Vision engineer who will develop ML solutions from concept in order to push the boundaries of what's possible with various sensors/cameras on our AR/VR/MR products. Working closely with hardware engineers, you will translate sensor capabilities into robust ML models that perform in real-world conditions. Your work will directly impact Anduril's ability to deliver cutting-edge defense technology, with the opportunity to identify and develop novel ML applications across our product portfolio.</p>
<p><strong>This role is based onsite in our Mountain View, CA office.</strong><br><br><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Propose and prototype innovative solutions to solve real-world problems, leveraging the latest state-of-the-art techniques in the field</li>
<li>Develop and maintain core ML pipelines</li>
<li>Train and deploy deep learning models for real-time applications</li>
<li>Develop performance metrics for ML algos</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with sensor, camera, and system teams</li>
</ul>
<p><br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field + 6 years of working experience</li>
<li>OR Masters/PhD + 2 years of working experience</li>
<li>Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities</li>
<li>Proficiency in Python and PyTorch or equivalent deep learning frameworks</li>
<li>Strong technical foundation in machine learning principles and algorithms with at least 2 years of experience building real-world ML systems for image processing</li>
<li>Strong foundation in computer vision fundamentals, including both classical techniques and modern deep learning approaches</li>
<li>Experience with the full ML development lifecycle (data preparation, model training, validation, deployment)</li>
<li>An understanding of how to optimize ML models for real-time or resource-constrained environments</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Strong technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field</li>
<li>Experience with real-time ML systems (e.g. mobile SoCs, model quantization)</li>
<li>Solid understanding of sensors, optics, and cameras</li>
<li>Background in object detection, image enhancement, or similar computer vision tasks</li>
