The Space Manufacturing team is responsible for assembly, integration, and test of ground support equipment, PCBA, unit-level, and integrated systems that are vital for our aerospace and defense operations. Your expertise will help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability at Anduril.<br><br>As a Manufacturing Engineer on our Space team, your responsibility includes everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, Design for Manufacturability work, tool design selection, process creation optimization, vendor sourcing interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with design, quality, and test teams to ensure successful delivery of PCBAs, box-level electronic assemblies, and other spacecraft hardware. <br><br>The right person for this role can demonstrate past holistic ownership on solving a technical challenge with a creative, physical, solution that they either personally manufacturing or oversaw manufacturing on, in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. If you are someone who thrives in such an environment, then this role is for you. <br><br></p> <h4>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4> <ul> <li>Develop, document, and continuously improve processes for the manufacturing, assembly, and integration of PCBAs and box-level assemblies, ensuring compliance with space-grade standards.</li> <li>Collaborate with design engineers to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is incorporated into product designs.</li> <li>Create manufacturing work instructions and assembly documentation for high-reliability PCBA and box assembly processes.</li> <li>Provide hands-on support to technicians during the assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of electronics hardware.</li> <li>Identify and mitigate risks to ensure all hardware meets aerospace quality standards (e.g., IPC-610/620 Class 3 or equivalent).</li> <li>Perform detailed root cause analyses (RCA) and drive corrective actions for non-conformances identified during manufacturing, test, and integration.</li> <li>Specify, procure, and maintain assembly tools, fixtures, and equipment required for PCBA and electronics manufacturing.</li> <li>Communicate with supply chain, program management, and test teams to manage priorities and resolve technical challenges.</li> <li>Participate in design and manufacturing readiness reviews (DRRs, MRRs) for flight hardware.</li> <li>Analyze production data and implement initiatives to optimize throughput, reduce cycle times, and enhance product reliability.</li> <li>Lead efforts to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce production costs while maintaining compliance with mission-critical standards.</li> </ul> <h4><br>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS </h4> <ul> <li>8+ years experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industries.</li> <li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline</li> <li>Knowledge of aerospace or ...
