As a Site Reliability Engineer your role will be pivotal to the design and build of complex infrastructure systems - including cloud based, on-premise, and distributed tactical edge. This role is incredibly varied - a typical day could see you building capabilities for our Hardware Integration Labs, supporting our software and robotics engineers with on-vehicle or on-device payload integration, or adding robust security controls to our core systems.<br><br><strong>Required experience/qualifications:</strong></div> <ul data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li>Experience working in highly secure/regulated environments - for example Defence, Government, Energy or Financial Services</li> <li>Linux operating systems, scripting and automation tooling - particularly Ubuntu and RHEL</li> <li>Virtualisation technology such as VMWare or KVM/QEMU</li> <li>Network security including TLS, PKI, firewalls, VLANs</li> <li>Ability to obtain/maintain a UK Security Clearance to a minimum of SC level.</li> </ul> <div><br><strong>Desirable experience:</strong></div> <ul data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li>Physical hardware - including rack mounted storage, compute and networking</li> <li>Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tooling</li> <li>Hardening standards such as FIPS, STIG and CIS</li> <li>Compliance standards such as ISO, NIST, Secure by Design</li> <li>Air gapped/highly restricted networks</li> <li>Network cryptography and VPN solutions - both software and accelerated/dedicated hardware</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
