Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineers own the <strong>full development lifecycle</strong>, from concept generation to integration and flight test, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems that meet the demands of complex, contested environments.</p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate avionics and mission systems into air vehicles effectively.</li> <li>Develop and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for secondary structures and system components, including large assembly model management.</li> <li>Conduct simulations and analyses, including hand calculations and FEA (finite element analysis), to validate designs against performance requirements and regulatory standards.</li> <li>Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production.</li> <li>Lead design reviews, perform analyses, visit vendors, and define and execute hardware test plans.</li> <li>Support critical hardware demonstrations for customers as required.</li> <li>Travel to test sites or vendor facilities as needed to support development and integration efforts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience</li> <li>5+ years of experience in air vehicle systems integration.</li> <li>Familiarity with hypersonic missiles and military standards.</li> <li>Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software.</li> <li>Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.</li> <li>U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter or Windchill.</li> <li>Active Top Secret DoD clearance.</li> <li>Experience with unmanned air vehicle (UAV) design and development.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$129,000</span><span class="divider"></span><span>$171,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
