In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the inner workings of the Test Wind Tunnel! This will require the ability to manage large capital equipment. <br><br><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="6364bf75-005e-4eed-bced-7680358b578f">Support the execution of wind tunnel testing programs, installation of test assets and data acquisition systems.</li> <li data-uuid="6d62692a-30df-4d54-bbe5-70d2e3f68821">Maintain and ensure the calibration and readiness of the wind tunnel and associated instrumentation.</li> <li data-uuid="4c2b8900-afcf-4bf4-90ce-5a1166787da8">Maintain lab spaces to a high level of organization and professionalism.</li> <li data-uuid="ecda11b7-bc37-4f31-98ce-756d5539091e">Promote lab safety training and processes, fostering an environment and culture to promote safety as the number one priority</li> <li data-uuid="0ce07942-77d9-4720-842b-00a9594f41ee">Travel to test sites and remote labs as needed</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="9a0ad964-e6c8-4b77-80b3-69ed1697a433">5+ years of professional experience in an engineering technician capacity or similar</li> <li data-uuid="63081911-ae8b-4a4d-8912-2d70997723e3">Hands-on experience operating different wind tunnels (e.g. open-circuit, closed-circuit, subsonic, blowdown)</li> <li data-uuid="3f225b8a-172c-40ab-9aca-c97fef215337">Hands-on experience with common aerodynamic sensors such as pitot tubes, PIV systems, and force balances.</li> <li data-uuid="ba62a852-6083-416e-bf75-0b73e8cf67f6">Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, flexible team environment</li> <li data-uuid="4829b2a6-5ed9-48c3-b547-f12391176968">Eligible to obtain / maintain a U.S. Security Clearance</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="4716bdea-48a5-4228-8e5d-5e2be921c6c4">Familiarity with NI Data acquisition system setup and collection, as well as running LabVIEW and Flexlogger software.</li> <li data-uuid="8de546bf-8cac-4551-ba85-5a78d0295489">Demonstrated sense of drive and ability to work in cross-functional teams effectively</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Hourly Range </div><div class="pay-range"><span>$37</span><span class="divider"></span><span>$49 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span data-contrast="auto">The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
