We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our AI Authentication team – a group of product-minded, deeply technical engineers delivering features to define what identity and access mean in a world increasingly powered by artificial intelligence.</p> <p>This is a great opportunity for an Senior engineer who thrives in collaborative environments, is eager to grow their technical depth, and wants to build scalable systems that solve real-world security problems.</p> <p>Auth0 Emerging Tech is the Engineering organization where we take care of the hottest technology out there: we ship fast, we don't break things. We value ownership, learning and innovation. </p> <p> </p> <p>We launched our Auth for GenAI offering and we are looking for an Engineer II to join us to lead the team taking care of the Identity Protocols parts of the game.</p> <p> </p> <p>Auth0 works with NodeJS ( Javascript or Typescript), a hint of Go and MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What will you do:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Bring expertise in identity and security while building innovative features and standards that will secure the Agentic AI world</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Build and maintain scalable services using <strong>TypeScript</strong>, <strong>NodeJS</strong>, and <strong>PostgreSQL/MongoDB</strong>.</li> <li>Collaborate with other product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features that improve identity and access for GenAI applications.</li> <li>Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and system design discussions.</li> <li>Contribute to observability and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance of our services.</li> <li>Continuously learn and grow by working alongside experienced engineers on complex distributed systems.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications and requirements</strong></p> <p>What you'll bring to the role:</p> <ul> <li>Solid programming experience with <strong>JavaScript/TypeScript</strong> and familiarity with <strong>NodeJS</strong> runtime environments.</li> <li>Practical experience with <strong>SQL</strong> and <strong>NoSQL</strong> databases (preferably <strong>Postgres</strong> and <strong>MongoDB</strong>).</li> <li>The ability to write well-tested, good quality code.</li> <li>An enjoyment of working in an iterative development environment.</li> <li>The ability to work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high-value results.</li> <li>Excellence when working autonomously, knowing when to seek help from team members.</li> <li>A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.</li> <li>Experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration, and application layers.</li> <li>Experience working on resilient products that can scale. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Bonus points for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Understanding of IAM Concepts</li> <li>Experience with using AI Agents, to better understand the problem space we operat ...
