As Toast continues to grow internationally, we are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Program Manager with regulatory compliance expertise to join our HW PMO team in Taiwan. As part of the HW PMO, you will play a key role in supporting worldwide new product introductions (NPI). You will leverage your hardware development program management and regulatory compliance experience to help build and operationalize Toast’s HW regulatory readiness and compliance program. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Product Management, to build process documentation, create scalable solutions, manage risk, and ensure successful product launches.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>HW Program Management</strong></li> <ul> <li>Lead new hardware product development programs through to production launch.</li> <li>Create and execute project work plans, revising as needed to meet changing requirements.</li> <li>Manage the project risk register and associated mitigation plans.</li> <li>Manage ODM, JDM suppliers to maintain schedule and execute on all deliverables.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Compliance Program Management</strong></li> <ul> <li>Own and drive global regulatory and compliance programs for Toast Devices.</li> <li>Partner with Product, Hardware, Supply Chain, and Legal teams to embed classification and Country of Origin (COO) requirements into NPI and launch processes.</li> <li>Work with the Compliance Manager to design and establish governance models, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and controls.</li> <li>Track compliance status, launch readiness, and risk indicators.</li> <li>Clearly communicate risk, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Leadership Alignment</strong></li> <ul> <li>Understand Toast’s strategic priorities and align cross-functional teams with a clear project plan, ensuring focus and commitment to met deliverables.</li> <li>Serve as the primary conduit for projects/programs between multiple suppliers and global cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks and leveraging organizational resources to improve project capacity.</li> <li>Ensure teams are adhering to Toast standards and best practices.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Communication</strong></li> <ul> <li>Convey information clearly and accurately through various methods (e.g., email, phone, Slack, WeChat, and WhatsApp).</li> <li>Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills.</li> </ul> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What We Look For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 6+ years of project management experience, PMP certification preferred.</li> <li>3+ years of experience in HW Regulatory and Compliance.</li> <li>Technical experience working with electromechanical systems; mobile tablet experience is a plus.</li> <li>Experience managing manufacturing suppliers in Asia.</li> <li>Experience working with a US-based company or US-based teams.</li> <li>Strong En ...
