This role will lead and scale our revenue accounting function in a fast-growing software and fintech environment while being a key partner in Finance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, strong internal controls, and compliance with ASC 606 while supporting new product launches and business models.</em></p> <p><strong><em>About This Role (Responsibilities)</em></strong></p> <p><em>As a </em><strong><em>Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting</em></strong><em>, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Toast’s global revenue accounting processes. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Billing Operations, and Enterprise Applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in revenue recognition.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Key Responsibilities:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Oversee a team of revenue accountants and revenue recognition under ASC 606 for SaaS, and fintech offerings, including multi-element arrangements and usage-based pricing</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Lead monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, </em><em>design, define, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the revenue accounting function, including revenue accuracy, close cycle time, end-to-end reconciliations.</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Manage and develop a team of revenue accountants; provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback</em></li> <li><em>Partner with global stakeholders across the US and India, ensuring seamless revenue operations and governance;</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Legal, and Finance partners to review contracts, process changes, and new product launches</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Evaluate and document accounting implications for new revenue streams, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Maintain and enhance revenue accounting procedures, and internal controls</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors on revenue-related matters</em><em><br></em></li> <li><em>Drive process improvements and automation across revenue accounting systems and tools</em></li> <li><em>Support the design, implementation, and execution of <strong>key revenue controls</strong> and <strong>system enhancements</strong> within NetSuite and Zoura.</em></li> <li><em>Participate in <strong>system migration, automation, and integration initiatives</strong> in partnership with the business systems team.</em></li> <li><em>Identify and execute opportunities for <strong>continuous process improvement</strong> to enhance accuracy and efficiency across revenue workflows.</em></li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Do You Have the Right Ingredients?
