Senior Product Manager, Networking Platform

(Team Info)</strong></p> <p>Toast is building a Toast-owned Networking Platform that makes restaurant connectivity secure, performant, and effortless to deploy and support at scale. As Product Manager for Network Engineering, you will drive strategy and execution across our managed networking stack (Pronto, Meraki, UniFi) and partner deeply with Engineering, Hardware Ops, Care/Onboarding, and Security Compliance to deliver platform capabilities that improve restaurant uptime, accelerate onboarding, and reduce operational burden.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>A day in the life (Responsibilities) </strong></p> <ul> <li>Product strategy roadmap for Toast-managed networking across hardware, firmware, dashboards, observability, and support tooling</li> <li>Owning the end-to-end connectivity experiences and building the next generation management tools for Toast networking devices</li> <li>Discover customer pain points and unmet needs and drive for high quality feature requests</li> <li>Develop Product Requirements Documents to drive hardware development, as well as communicate feature requests to the engineering team in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Deeply understand the competitive landscape and strategize and prioritize resources so we build the best products to win </li> <li>Lead by influence. Work closely with the Toast product, UX, engineering and operations teams to support business needs, develop business case, justify the ROI, and owning the product roadmap</li> <li>Work closely with the Marketing, Finance, Operations and Customer Success teams to execute flawless launches</li> <li>Source new networking products and drive the qualification of the product internally and externally</li> <li>Analyze and track product KPIs to understand how hardware products are performing in the field post launch<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Do you have the right ingredients*?</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of Product Management experience (or equivalent) </li> <li>Proven ability to lead products that sit at the intersection of software + hardware + operations, with many internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong technical fluency in networking fundamentals such as VLANs, SSIDs, firewalls, captive portals, observability and telemetry.</li> <li>Track record of shipping products that measurably improve reliability, operational efficiency, or support outcomes.</li> <li>Excellent cross-functional leadership: you can align teams without direct authority and drive execution in ambiguity.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with managed networking ecosystems (e.g., Meraki/UniFi), ISP/carrier concepts, IoT devices or cellular failover solutions.</li> <li>Experience building support tooling: automation for operations teams</li> <li>Familiarity with AI-assisted support systems (retrieval + telemetry lookup, action execution with guardrails).</li> <li>Experience in user experience design and research is a plus</li> <li>Experience in data mining and/or querying skills is a plus<br><br></li> </ul> <p data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong>AI at Toast</strong></p> <p>At Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn.
