This is a <strong>highly visible and impactful role</strong>, responsible for implementing revenue policies, reviewing transactions, and ensuring compliance with <strong>US GAAP</strong> standards.</p> <p><strong>About This Role (Responsibilities)</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Revenue Accountant</strong>, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Toast’s global revenue accounting processes. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Finance, Billing Operations, and Enterprise Applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in revenue recognition.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze revenue transactions to ensure data accuracy and proper accounting treatment within the ERP system (<strong>NetSuite</strong>) and the revenue system (<strong>Zoura Revenue /</strong> <strong>RevPro</strong>).<br><br></li> <li>Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in compliance with <strong>Company policies</strong> and <strong>US GAAP (ASC 606)</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Collaborate closely with <strong>GL Accounting, Billing Operations, and FPA</strong> teams to support all month-end close activities.<br><br></li> <li>Drive cross-functional projects and process improvements impacting revenue accounting and reporting.<br><br></li> <li>Support the design, implementation, and execution of <strong>key revenue controls</strong> and <strong>system enhancements</strong> within NetSuite and Zoura.<br><br></li> <li>Draft and maintain <strong>whitepapers</strong> and documentation related to revenue policies, controls, and accounting positions.<br><br></li> <li>Participate in <strong>system migration, automation, and integration initiatives</strong> in partnership with the business systems team.<br><br></li> <li>Identify and execute opportunities for <strong>continuous process improvement</strong> to enhance accuracy and efficiency across revenue workflows.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Do You Have the Right Ingredients? (Requirements)</strong></p> <p><strong>Must-Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>4+ years of experience</strong> in revenue recognition or revenue accounting, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.<br><br></li> <li><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> or higher in Accounting or Finance.<br><br></li> <li>Strong working knowledge of <strong>ASC 606</strong> and its application.<br><br></li> <li>Proven ability to perform complex revenue accounting tasks and apply accounting guidance appropriately.<br><br></li> <li><strong>Advanced Excel skills</strong> with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.<br><br></li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Zoura Revenue</strong>, <strong>NetSuite</strong>, and <strong>Salesforce</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Excellent <strong>communication and interpersonal skills</strong>, with the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts.<br><br></li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work <strong>cross-functionally</strong> and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.<br><br></li> <li>Willingness to work in <strong>UK and US time zones</strong> to support global accounting operations and m ...
