Senior Technical Program Manager

As a TPM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping program strategies, establishing best practices, and delivering high-impact programs that align with our product and business technology objectives. This role demands a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and hands-on program management, empowering teams to deliver on Toast’s ambitious roadmap.</p> <p> <strong>A day in the life (Responsibilities) </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Execution Excellence: </strong>Drive execution for major cross-functional programs, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. Employ advanced forecasting, risk management, and intake strategies to mitigate potential delays and dependencies.</li> <li><strong>Diving Deep: </strong>Quickly understand the scope, requirements, and risks associated with new and existing programs. Be ready to dive deep into technical and operational details, rapidly get up to speed, and identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure smooth program execution; all while being able to keep the big picture in mind.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Partnership: </strong>Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across RD, Product, and Engineering, including senior leadership, collaborating on feature planning and resource allocation to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.</li> <li><strong>Adaptable: </strong>Able to work “the Toast way” and to adapt to change and iterate quickly; comfortable recalibrating plans, processes, and stakeholder expectations in complex and ambiguous environments</li> <li><strong>Technical Leadership and Guidance:</strong> Leverage your technical fluency to guide teams, establishing best practices and fostering continuous improvement.
