Staff System Engineer, Zuora Billing

<p>Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love.</p> <p>As a Staff Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and expanding Zuora subscription billing and payment solutions and will bring a solid understanding of the Zuora Billing application and APIs, as well as experience integrating Zuora with other systems. In this role, you will collaborate with Product managers, Zuora internal technical resources, and other engineering teams in the RD organization to design and deliver scalable technical solutions that meet growing business needs.</p> <p><strong>About this roll* (Responsibilities) </strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives related to Zuora Subscription Billing and Zuora Payment Develop and configure Zuora’s Product Catalog, including rate plans and pricing models, to meet business needs and support billing processes</li> <li>Ensure the security and integrity of Zuora’s environment by implementing best practices and security measures</li> <li>Experience with customizing Zuora using Zuora Workflows, Zuora API and ZOQL, and integrating Zuora with other financial platforms </li> <li>Design and implement payment solutions using payment methods like Credit Card, Alternate Payment Methods (APMs), ACH, Direct Debit, etc.</li> <li>Understand Payment Gateways, Country Specific requirements, Refund, Chargeback, Cancellation, and Network Tokenization</li> <li>Configure and manage notifications within Zuora to keep partners, both internal and external, informed of key events and updates</li> <li>Customize and design invoice templates in Zuora to align with branding guidelines and meet customer requirements</li> <li>Provide guidance on billing processes and best practices, using domain knowledge to drive optimal solutions to lead business discussions with customers, discover requirement, frame a problem statement, lead solution workshops and deliver a Technical solution</li> </ul> <p><strong>Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Zuora development, including Product Catalog, workflows, Security, Notifications, and Invoice Templates</li> <li>Experience in translating requirements into technical specifications and solution design</li> <li>Experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business analysis, systems design and integration, user interface design and implementation</li> <li>Experience in data analysis, conversion and migration, interfaces and reports</li> <li>Experience with customizing Zuora using Workflows, Zuora API and ZOQL</li> <li>Understand the Zuora Business Object model. </li> <li>Lead and implemented Zuora Billing for 1 or more companies</li> <li>5+ years of experience with Zuora Billing</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Mode: </strong>This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.</p> <p><strong>Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Zuora Admin and Architect certifications</li> <li>Experience with Zuora E-Invoicing features.</li> <li>Knowledge of Zuora RevPro</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>How Toast Uses AI in its Hiring Process</strong></p> <p>Throughout the hiring process, our goal is to get to know you.
