This role is central to advancing our Platform + Design initiatives, tackling key customer pain points, and delivering high-quality, scalable experiences across all of Cloudflare. You will be a critical bridge between design and engineering, turning ambitious concepts into production-ready code and making high-impact improvements to areas that span our entire product suite.</p> <p>You’ll partner closely with the Design organization to scope, build, and ship everything from large-scale strategic overhauls to foundational design patterns and fixes to customer experiences. This role is perfect for a frontend-focused engineer who has a passion for design, a strong eye for detail, and a desire to build systems that empower other developers.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Implement Strategic UX Overhauls:</strong> Partner with Design to execute high-impact projects, such as overhauling company-wide interaction patterns, standardizing templates, or re-imagining dynamic customer journeys.</li> <li><strong>Build Foundational Design Patterns:</strong> Engineer, update, and maintain reusable components and patterns that accelerate feature delivery for all product teams.</li> <li><strong>Contribute to the Design System:</strong> Ensure new and updated patterns are scalable, performant, and contributed back to our internal design systems for global use.</li> <li><strong>Explore "North Star" Concepts:</strong> Pair directly with designers to explore future-state "North Star" proposals, building prototypes in both Figma and code to validate ideas and inform future roadmaps.</li> <li><strong>Targeted UX enhancements:</strong> Triage, prioritize (with design), and rapidly fix small enhancements, polish items, and bugs reported by customers and internal teams.</li> <li><strong>Add Polish and Enhancements:</strong> Elevate the user experience by adding thoughtful microinteractions and polish to components and core workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technologies We Use</strong></p> <ul> <li>React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Webpack, Figma, Miro</li> <li>Tailwind, Lightning CSS</li> <li>Storybook, Chromatic</li> <li>GitLab CI/CD, Git</li> <li>Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience in a hybrid Design Enginee ...
