We're looking for talented teammates who’ll help us maintain strong teamwork and are passionate about driving results.</div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p>This role follows an in person work schedule and reports to a Lead Systems Test Engineer. </p> <p><strong>You will: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Own defining, requesting, tracking, and accepting collision avoidance scenarios that are critical to baselining and improving the Waymo Driver</li> <li>Work with your internal team to understand what coverage exists, and as Waymo expands, what new coverage is needed</li> <li>Work across multiple partner teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, resources are properly allocated, timelines are met, and resulting outputs quality is high</li> <li>Help define and understand the tradeoffs between various next-generation scenario creation technologies </li> <li>Build a framework/tooling to ensure traceability across all steps of the pipeline and decrease friction</li> </ul> <p><strong>You have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in tech, automotive, systems/test engineering, or other relevant fields where you have demonstrated a strong positive impact</li> <li>A proven track record of working in dynamic environments while delivering excellent work on complex topics</li> <li>A results-oriented mindset and a love of working across multiple teams, wrangling complex and ambiguous requirements, and delivering quality outputs</li> <li>Basic coding abilities for building, editing, and maintaining data analytics tools and pipelines (Python and/or SQL)</li> <li>Solid intuition about vehicle dynamics, physics/kinematics, and mathematics fundamentals</li> <li>Stellar organization and collaboration skills </li> </ul> <p><strong>We prefer: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Large datasets / databases organization and maintenance </li> <li>An Autonomous Vehicle background </li> <li>Background in Simulation </li> <li>Vehicle test track or similar real-world experience </li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"> ...
