Sr. Application Systems Engineer

We're seeking a <strong>Sr. Application Systems Engineer</strong> to serve as a technical resource, collaborating directly with internal IT, Security, GA, and Engineering teams. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, deploying, and integrating critical new systems, while also acting as a primary escalation point for the most challenging system issues and outages.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to significantly impact our technical landscape, driving efficiency and innovation across our organization.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement, and administer advanced configurations of SaaS tools, including but not limited to Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta Workflows, and the Atlassian suite.</li> <li>Provide expert-level support, monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting for highly complex applications, integrated systems, and the intricate interdependencies between them.</li> <li>Lead the design, and administration of our internal Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions, including the architecture, configuration, and large-scale deployment of Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.</li> <li>Serve as a technical resource for our rapidly scaling business, providing strategic guidance on the evolution and optimization of our IT systems and infrastructure.</li> <li>Champion cross-team knowledge sharing by developing and maintaining comprehensive, high-quality IT documentation and playbooks.</li> <li>Continuously evaluate the environment for strategic gaps and opportunities, driving initiatives to enhance system maturity and security posture, and proactively identifying and automating complex manual processes.</li> <li>Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices, providing insightful recommendations for adoption and integration to enhance our IT capabilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of extensive experience designing, implementing, and administering a broad spectrum of enterprise-level SaaS applications in a cloud-first environment.</li> <li>Deep technical mastery of our primary tech stack: Okta (including advanced features and integrations), Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and the Atlassian suite (with significant experience in Jira Service Desk and Software automation, custom workflows, and advanced administration).</li> <li>5+ years of hands-on experience with Okta Workflows and other enterprise-grade iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier, BetterCloud), including designing and implementing complex integrations.</li> <li>Expert-level understanding and practical application of advanced IAM concepts (SSO, SWA, SAML, JIT, SCIM, OIDC, OAuth, RBAC, ABAC), including designing and troubleshooting complex authentication and authorization flows.</li> <li>Experience working with APIs for integration, automation, and data manipulation.</li> <li>Advanced scripting proficiency for automation, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, GAM), with experience in developing robust, scalable scripts.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical and complex problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of IT operations, incident management, and change management best practices.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to drive measurable results and deliver key initiatives within demanding timelines and evolving priorities.</li> <li>Proven adaptability in dynamic, fast-paced environments with frequently changing priorities and time-sensitive requests.</li> <li>Flexibility for odd hours and on-call duties is required to support critical operations.</li> <li>Extensive experience as an IT Systems Engineer in a high-growth, fast-paced corporate environment.</li> <li>Any Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified ...
