Job's mission
We are seeking a highly experienced
Materials Project Manager to lead the transition of new products into high-volume manufacturing. This role is critical in driving sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful product launches. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in supply chain and operations, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex programs in a global environment.
What you will be working on
Focus on transition of NPI products in HVM
Responsible for driving sourcing strategies, cost reductions and Business Unit alignment for new products
Key focal for engineering, manufacturing and supply chain for assigned products
Manage across multiple functional groups to achieve common goals
Break down and report on detailed costed Bills of Materials, align supply chain strategies with Commodity
Teams and align manufacturing strategies with Global Operations for Supplier Selection to match the quality, delivery and cost goals
Drive lead time negotiations and strategies with suppliers and purchasing to meet lead time targets
Negotiate with suppliers in regard to the closing of contracts for the delivery of (strategic) parts (deadlines, quality, conditions, prices)
Perform opportunity analysis to identify projects that will deliver significant cost savings and value improvement.
What we are looking for
At least 10 years’ experience in supply chain or operations
Master/Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance or other related fields within the capital equipment industry
APICS Certification, Lean Six Sigma Training, Negotiation certification or other Suppl y Chain related programs a plus
Experience in a Global work setting is preferable, semiconductor capital equipment experience is a plus
Excel, PowerPoint and SAP experience required
Possess excellent communication skills, detail oriented and comfortable giving presentations
Experience managing programs in a matrix environment
Business level English and Japanese
