Job’s mission

As a Senior Engineering Technician II, you are a key technical expert at the intersection of process and hardware, ensuring ASM tools operate safely, cleanly, and reliably in demanding semiconductor environments. You use deep system‑level knowledge and process awareness to solve complex issues, connect tool performance to yield, and drive durable corrective actions. Your work builds trust with customers, supports stable high‑volume production, and helps enable the next generation of semiconductor technology.

What you will be working on

Demonstrate advanced understanding of cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and the interaction between process equipment and environmental systems.

Proactively identify safety risks related to chemical handling, gas delivery, and tool operations, and act as a subject matter resource for peers in high‑risk maintenance activities.

Apply understanding of process flows to correlate tool performance with yield‑impacting defects and process deviations.

Collaborate with process engineering and Field Service Engineers to fine‑tune equipment parameters and support troubleshooting efforts that require both hardware and process insight.

Partner with Field Service Engineers on complex troubleshooting by integrating data from multiple subsystems and applying deep system‑level knowledge to isolate root causes.

Collaborate across engineering and field teams to implement durable corrective actions and continuously refine diagnostic approaches.

Build enhanced product knowledge across multiple tool types, including system architecture, key components, and common failure modes.

Use this expertise to perform advanced troubleshooting, support upgrades, and provide guidance to junior technicians and customers in the field.

Provide clear technical updates to customers, set realistic expectations, and ensure timely resolution of service issues aligned with customer production goals.

Own service responsibility across 2 ASM toolsets, including complex configurations.

Perform root‑cause analysis and support cross‑functional escalations with clear and structured technical documentation.

Apply troubleshooting strategies using a deep understanding of tool architecture, process integration, and the interactions between mechanical, electrical, and software components.

Proactively identify performance trends related to gas delivery, thermal control, and process deviations, and drive resolution through collaboration with engineering and field teams.

Mentor peers on diagnostic methods and contribute to the refinement of troubleshooting protocols based on lessons learned.
