Manager, KYC & Identity Operations

<h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2> <p>We’re looking for a strategic, execution-oriented Manager to lead Identity KYC Operations within our Financial Crimes Identity (FCI) organization. You will oversee day-to-day onboarding and monitoring operations that protect our members and ensure adherence to BSA/AML and OFAC regulations. In this role, you’ll partner closely across Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Engineering to strengthen processes, optimize controls, and improve operational efficiency. This role reports directly to the Director, KYC Identity.</p> <p>The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $136,000.00 and up to $188,000.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.</p> <h2><strong>In this role, you can expect to:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead strategic development and execution of Identity KYC operations, including processes, triage, and controls<br><br></li> <li>Ensure KYC and sanctions screening compliance with BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulatory requirements<br><br></li> <li>Own escalations, triage workflows, and holistic reviews for Legal Compliance<br><br></li> <li>Partner cross-functionally to enhance workflows and integrate new technologies that improve operational efficiency<br><br></li> <li>Oversee and evolve KYC/OFAC policies and standards in partnership with Bank Partners, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering<br><br></li> <li>Leverage data analytics and ML-enabled tools to track, analyze, and report on key operational metrics<br><br></li> <li>Balance effective compliance controls with a seamless member onboarding and service experience<br><br></li> <li>Manage vendor relationships, ensuring solutions meet regulatory and business needs<br><br></li> <li>Lead, coach, and develop a global analyst team<br><br></li> <li>Develop training programs and ensure teams are aligned with regulatory updates<br><br></li> <li>Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, providing reporting to leadership on program effectiveness and risk<br><br></li> </ul> <h2><strong>To thrive in this role, you have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in KYC, OFAC, BSA/AML functions<br><br></li> <li>5+ years of people-leadership experience<br><br></li> <li>Deep understanding of CIP, BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulatory frameworks<br><br></li> <li>Experience with third-party identity verification vendors and tools<br><br></li> <li>Strong analytical skills and experience driving operational improvements<br><br></li> <li>Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills<br><br></li> <li>Experience in a regulated fintech or high-growth environment<br><br></li> <li>ACAMS certification strongly preferred<br><br></li> <li>Ability to travel up to 10%</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Note: </strong>This role is needed in the Chicago office 4 days a week.</em></p> <p>#LI-EI1 #LI-Hybrid</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h2><strong>A little about us</strong></h2> <p>At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
