As the <strong data-stringify-type="bold">Senior Manager, Ocean Freight</strong>, you will be at the forefront of this mission—a critical leader responsible for driving the next wave of Flexport's growth.<br>This is not a support role; it's an accelerator. You will be instrumental in:</div> <ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet p-rich_text_list--nested" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-list-tree="true" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Forging New Frontiers:</strong> Serving as the central driver for winning new business and expanding our existing book across Southeast and Mid-market segments.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Architecting Growth:</strong> Operating fluidly across all major ocean lanes (TPEB, TAWB, Exports) to maximize volume and yield.</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Orchestrating the Ecosystem:</strong> Directly managing key client relationships, collaborating with our internal Demand and Procurement teams, and setting Ocean strategy for your regional book of business.</li> </ul> <div class="p-rich_text_section">Join us to be an integral part of shaping the global trade landscape!</div> <hr> <h2><strong>You Will:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Manage a sizeable Ocean PL for your district through scaling volume and increasing yield for the the Southeast and Mid-market </li> <li>Be the market expert and support the commercial organization with market-specific intelligence, trade idiosyncrasies, and directly interfacing with customer</li> <li>Help design products and generate customized go-to-market strategies for customers, from business development to pricing </li> <li>Own tenders and RFQs for your district to secure regional and global customers, including tender management, implementation, and ongoing NAC management. </li> <li>Interface with procurement teams to drive profitable business, identify growth opportunities, and capture market-specific knowledge</li> <li>Identify and drive improvement in go-to-market, operational, and financial processes </li> <li>Build and own PL review and actively participate in book of business growth rhythms</li> <li>Use data to drive decisions</li> <li>Contribute to product development tools that impact the ocean business, from DCRS to NAC allocation tool, CPO, etc. </li> <li>Join on a regular basis client calls and webinars</li> <li>Lead regular cross team meetings in ...
