This role works closely with the Trading Desk to manage margin calls, monitor debit balances, oversee liquidations, and ensure trading activity complies with regulatory and firm requirements. Reporting to the <strong>Sr. Manager, Trading Credit Risk – Margin Options</strong>, this role helps build and refine the margin credit risk framework, supports the launch and scaling of margin and options offerings, and plays a key part in protecting the firm and its clients during periods of market volatility while ensuring timely and accurate margin operations.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Daily margin and call management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and process daily Reg T, Maintenance, House, and Day Trade margin calls</li> <li>Monitor call aging (T+1 through T+5) and ensure adherence to regulatory timelines</li> <li>Issue margin call notifications and track resolution through funding or liquidation</li> <li>Escalate aged, high-risk, or complex margin deficiencies to the Sr. Manager</li> <li>Coordinate with the Trading Desk on required liquidations to satisfy margin obligations</li> </ul> <p><strong>Debit balance and exposure monitoring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monitor daily debit balances in margin and cash accounts</li> <li>Enforce firm policies related to liquidation thresholds and exception handling</li> <li>Apply and monitor Pattern Day Trader (PDT), Good Faith, and Freeride restrictions</li> <li>Identify accounts with elevated leverage or concentration risk and escalate as appropriate</li> </ul> <p><strong>Risk monitoring and systems oversight</strong></p> <ul> <li>Utilize systems such as FIS, Stream Credit Monitor (SCM), Sterling Risk Monitor (SRM), or equivalent tools to validate margin requirements and exposure</li> <li>Review margin exception reports and resolve discrepancies</li> <li>Monitor concentration, liquidity, and volatility exposure across margin accounts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Regulatory and control responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure margin activity complies with Regulation T, FINRA Rule 4210, and firm house requirements</li> <li>Support Reg T e ...
