We’re hiring an experienced Staff Product Designer for Hazel’s Admin AI—the agent that sits alongside advisors and their teams to capture context, manage work, and take action across notes, meetings, inbox, and tasks.</p> <ul> <li>This is an individual-contributor role reporting to the AI Product Design Manager.</li> <li>You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research and own Hazel’s end-to-end Admin AI experience.</li> <li><strong>This role is hybrid, with three in-office days per week at our San Francisco Financial District location.</strong></li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you'll do</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Design agentic workflows for real admin work</strong> <ul> <li>Own the Admin AI experience across core surfaces like note-taking, meetings, inbox, and tasks.</li> <li>Design how Hazel captures context, summarizes information, follows up, asks clarifying questions, and takes action on a user’s behalf—while staying predictable, transparent, and trustworthy.</li> <li>Invent new interaction patterns for AI-assisted work where traditional UI doesn’t fit, blending automation, suggestions, and human control to reduce cognitive load without hiding important context.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Define how the agent communicates and collaborates</strong> <ul> <li>Design patterns for how Hazel signals progress, uncertainty, permissions, and handoffs across multi-step and asynchronous workflows.</li> <li>Shape how Hazel explains what it’s doing, why it’s doing it, and what it needs from the user in a way that feels intuitive and trustworthy.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Prototype and ship in code</strong> <ul> <li>Build functional prototypes using real front-end code—not just static mockups.</li> <li>Work closely with engineers to refine interaction details and ship features into production, owning features from concept through launch.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Iterate quickly as Hazel evolves</strong> <ul> <li>Design, test, and refine experiences in tight feedback loops as Hazel’s capabilities expand with model improvements.</li> <li>Work on critical-path features, adapting designs as the under ...
