This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided. <br><br>Archer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join Archer. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience within the Landing Gear team. In this internship role, you will support the design, development, and validation of Archer’s Landing Gear and Brake Control Systems. </p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the design, build, and implementation of flight hardware, test stands, procedures and reports, for qualification, certification, and production applications.</li>
<li>Team responsibilities include the landing gear, brake system, wheels, and tires. </li>
<li>Collaborate on the technical direction of the designs with the Landing Gear team, as well as the management of their delivery, conformity, test, and certification.</li>
<li>Performance analysis, eg: braking energy, multibody dynamic landing analysis.</li>
<li>Write, review and conduct tests at the equipment and system level. </li>
<li>Flight test data review.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Need:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Going into the 2nd or 3rd year in college career</li>
<li>Knowledge in mechanical design and drawing generation using CAD tools</li>
<li>Experience working with Siemens NX CAD and Simcenter FEA tools is a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge in kinematic analysis and optimization</li>
<li>Understanding of structural analysis utilizing hand calculations and finite element methods</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in ambiguity</li>
<li>Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills </li>
<li>Strong organization and project management skills </li>
<li>Eager to learn, positive attitude, and highly motivated</li>
<li>Engineering Student design team experience (Baja SAE/Formula SAE) is an asset</li>
<li>Experience working with hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, torquing, etc.) is an asset<br><br></li>

<li>May 26, 2026 - July 31, 2026</li>
<li>June 15, 2026 - August 21, 2026</li>
<ul>
<li>*We will not be able to accommodate interns outside of these two program dates.</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<li>This role will be based at Archer in San Jose, CA</li>
<li>Relocation and housing will not be provided.</li>
</ul>
