<p>Roku’s Live Operations team supports high-profile live and linear streaming experiences for millions of viewers. We work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to ensure reliable, high-quality delivery of live sports and events at scale.</p>
<p>This role is well suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, real-time environments, is detail-oriented under pressure, and has a strong interest in live sports and streaming technology.</p>
<p>The estimated annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $72,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.</p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate schedules and operational readiness for upcoming live sporting events with internal teams and content partners</li>
<li>Provide real-time operational support for multiple concurrent live streaming events</li>
<li>Own Tier-1 live events end-to-end, ensuring a high-quality viewer experience</li>
<li>Manage task execution across production teams, service partners, and supporting engineers during live events</li>
<li>Partner with senior engineers to triage and mitigate high-severity incidents while supporting root-cause analysis</li>
<li>Produce post-event reports and operational summaries for Live Operations leadership</li>
<li>Contribute to the development, testing, and improvement of operational tools and automation</li>
<li>Coordinate customer notifications, escalations, and follow-ups to meet service level objectives</li>
<li>Support onboarding and training of new Live Operations team members as the organization scales</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>We’re Excited If You Have</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Understanding of the streaming or media market/industry</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in digital media or streaming operations</li>
<li>1–3 years of experience supporting live online video workflows, including signal acquisition (satellite, fiber, TS) and SCTE-based signaling</li>
<li>Experience managing linear programming schedules and EPGs</li>
<li>Familiarity with metadata concepts and feed formats (e.g., XML, JSON)</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business contexts</li>
<li>Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams</li>
<li>Structured, self-directed approach to problem solving and task management</li>
<li>Working knowledge of OTT and live streaming platforms</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Film Production, or a related field</li>
<li>Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure, live environments</li>
