We work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers while maximizing the value proposition for the business.</p> <p> </p> <h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>Roku is looking for a Research Data Scientist to join the Core Analytics team to support our experimentation platform. This individual will be responsible for helping to scale Roku’s experimentation capabilities, exploring and implementing scalable and robust statistical methods that can be applied to a broad range of experimentation problems. The successful candidate will help build tooling for engineers, product managers, and marketers to self-serve their own experiments and establish experimentation best practices across Roku. This individual will work closely with product management and data engineering, and a software engineer to identify opportunities to create new features, drive their adoption. This individual will investigate and develop solutions to track, monitor, and improve our Experimentation ecosystem. The successful candidate is quantitatively driven, well-versed in experimentation and advanced statistical methods, detail-focused, and possesses an elevated level of problem-solving expertise.</p> <p>For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $132,000-$240,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.</p> <p>This is a hybrid role with four days per week in the office, Monday through Thursday. The selected candidate will be based out of San Jose, CA or NYC. </p> <h3> </h3> <h3><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own the experimentation roadmap for Core Analytics in partnership with Product and Engineering.</li> <li>Define the standard for statistical analysis across varying types of experiments and units of analysis, ensuring robust results with minimal bias</li> <li>Lead the design, implementation, and analysis of sophisticated A/B tests and experiments, leveraging innovative techniques like Bayesian inference and causal methods to optimize complex strategies</li> <li>Develop necessary data pipelines to power automation, validation, and reporting</li> <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to align data science initiatives with organizational goals and strategy</li> <li>Collaborate with the Product Management and Engineering team to proactively seek and incorporate feedback</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h3><strong>We're excited if you have</strong></h3> <ul> <li>2+ years of wor ...
