At Toast, we<br>embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion and believe that our differences make us<br>stronger.</p> <p><strong>About This Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to support and manage<br>entity-level accounting for Toast’s India operations. This role will be responsible for<br>ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local statutory<br>requirements, and timely close processes, while managing and developing a team<br>of accountants.<br>You will collaborate closely with global accounting, tax, payroll, and FPA teams,<br>as well as external auditors and advisors, to support a growing and dynamic<br>business in India.<br>What You’ll Do<br> Manage end-to-end accounting activities for Toast’s India entities, including<br>monthly, quarterly, and annual close<br> Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with<br>Ind AS, local statutory requirements, and Toast accounting policies<br> Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, prepaids,<br>fixed assets, and intercompany transactions<br> Act as the primary point of contact for statutory audits, tax audits, and<br>regulatory filings Partner with global accounting teams to ensure alignment on accounting<br>policies, processes, and controls<br> Support internal controls and SOX compliance, including documentation,<br>testing, and remediation<br> Collaborate cross-functionally with tax, payroll, legal, and FPA teams to<br>support accurate reporting and business needs<br> Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency,<br>accuracy, and scalability<br> Manage, mentor, and develop a team (currently a 3 member team)<br> Support ad hoc accounting projects, system enhancements, and cross-<br>functional initiatives</p> <p><br><strong>What You’ll Need</strong><br> Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com) or equivalent; Semi-qualified or<br>Qualified CA preferred, Managing experience is mandate. </p> <p><strong>Overall 12+ years of experience is mandate</strong></p> <p> 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on<br>entity-level accounting. <br> Strong working knowledge of Ind AS and Indian statutory and regulatory<br>requirements<br> Prior experience managing or leading a small accounting team<br> Experience with month-end close, audits, and financial reporting<br> Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks<br> Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally<br> Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment<br> Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills</p> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong><br> Experience working in a multinational or high-growth technology<br>company</p> <p>Exposure to SOX-compliant or US-listed organizations<br> Experience supporting global accounting operations and intercompany<br>accounting<br><strong>Our Commitment to You</strong><br>Toast is an equal opportunity employer.
