We move with urgency and believe great outcomes come from high standards</p></div><p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll take ownership over the end-to-end experience of your product area, identifying problems worth solving and designing innovative, high-quality solutions that resonate with users. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers, and own design throughout the product development lifecycle from ideation and conceptualization all the way through interaction and visual design.</p> <p>At HackerRank, we believe the future is human plus AI. You’ll blend a solid grasp of fundamental UI paradigms with innovative AI-powered capabilities, facilitating the creation of top-tier experiences through design discovery, prototyping, and journey management. This role specifically focuses on next-gen hiring, using AI-powered tools and environments to help developers showcase their skills in an AI-first world. Experience in coding, including vibe-coding, and interacting with Claude, Codex, or similar tools and environments is required.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and ship features that balance UI best practices within AI-powered experiences.</li> <li>Proactively research and prototype your ideas, including comfort in adopting new tools that shorten the time between concept and delivery.</li> <li>Stay current on best-in-class developer experiences.</li> <li>Work independently and strategically to identify problems worth solving and design solutions that users love.</li> <li>Partner closely with engineering, product management, AI research, and design peers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics.</li> <li>Deeply care about the full user experience, from the moment they touch the product through related journeys.</li> <li>Manage competing priorities and act on decisions in the face of ambiguity.</li> <li>Contribute to the overall design and product culture at HackerRank. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are </strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of hands-on industry experience as a product designer</li> <li>At least one example of how you have collaborated with AI to build a product or tool that has been used by yourself or others, and an explanation of how you created it and what decisions you made.</li> <li>Experience working with Codex, Claude, or Cursor alongside Figma and other creative tools</li> <li>A portfolio demonstrating excellent visual, UI, and interactive skills</li> <li>At least 3 years working on fast-moving enterprise or prosumer products</li> <li>Excellent communication skills including spoken and written English</li> <li>Comfort working with ambiguous problems, independently or with multiple stakeholders, and the ability to balance existing design standards with new AI paradigms</li> <li>Proven ability to ship high-quality products in a self-directed manner</li> </ul> <p><strong>You will thrive in this role if</strong></p> <ul> <li>As a Senior Product Designer at HackerRank, you take great care in your work and strive to push the boundary on user experience, UI paradigms, and user love.</li> <li>You have experience working with AI within your workflow and can already demonstrate specific example ...
