We help organizations build large scale distributed systems reliably, allowing them to move fast without breaking things. From simulating massive load spikes to continuous production synthetics, our suite empowers developers to proactively detect regressions and honor SLA commitments. By strengthening Postman’s enterprise ecosystem, we provide the confidence needed to run the world's most mission-critical APIs.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Understand the vision and the bigger picture of Postman and ensure the team fully understands and appreciates how their work fits into the larger scheme of things.</li> <li>Grow and develop teams, drive conversations with the engineers on topics such as career development, and align their growth with the long term vision and wider business needs.</li> <li>Own drive the engineering/technical strategy for the team, deliver business-critical initiatives in a specified timeline and actively contribute towards the product roadmap to drive the maximum impact for Postman by defining the team’s vision, mission, strategy.</li> <li>Participate in the end-to-end recruiting process, hiring, on-boarding exceptional engineering talent.</li> <li>Define, measure own key metrics for the performance of your and your team’s functional areas.</li> <li>Identify broader problems (Product features, End User Experience, Technology Business), provide multi-quarter roadmaps to the team, embrace constraints and prioritise effectively by working with stakeholders leadership.</li> <li>Collaborate Partner with peers in Product, Design Engineering to craft the best building blocks, guidelines, standards, evolve the team’s vision, mission strategy.</li> <li>Be well-versed in S/W architecture and design. Be ready to be a part of design reviews ( code reviews) and ensure the right decisions are made across the development lifecycle (Both front end and back-end). Raise the bar for engineering standards, tooling and processes.</li> <li>You are responsible for the End User Experience, Performance, Security High availability of the product and will work towards 99.99 availability.</li> <li>Be the custodian of operational customer excellence when it comes to on-calls/incidents/performance/bugs/UX-issues.</li> <li>Provide measurable OKRs for the team and promote a culture of real-time employee feedback.</li> <li>Regularly recognise and celebrate individual engineers’ achievements, both big and small, while emphasising the importance of team success.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>About You</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science-related field or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>Min. 7 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, JavaScript, NodeJS).</li> <li>3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, ...
