Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. What you’ll be doing
Oversee vendor relationships and service delivery across San Francisco HQ, managing SLA performance, troubleshooting issues, and presenting optimization recommendations while ensuring budget alignment
Design and implement employee engagement programs that strengthen company culture, enhance workplace satisfaction, and creating moments of surprise and delight that reflect Discord's values
Manage food, beverage, and pantry programs by monitoring usage, identifying improvements, and scaling operations to support growth while balancing experience with budget
Own daily workplace operations and employee support, responding to tickets, serving as an approachable resource, and evolving our operations playbook to ensure a safe, inclusive environment
Develop and iterate workplace policies and processes that maximize operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including People, IT, Facilities, Security, and Finance, clearly communicating complex concepts and adjusting messaging based on stakeholder needs
Partner with Internal Events, Employee Experience, and other XFN partners to execute company events including all-hands and onsites, delivering mid-size projects with minimal guidance
What you should have
5+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or office management, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
Vendor management expertise including contract negotiation, SLA evaluation, and strategic service provider partnerships
Strong project management skills with experience executing multi-month projects independently and delivering results with minimal oversight
Budget management experience aligning operational spending with financial targets while maintaining quality employee experience
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence peers and navigate complex stakeholder relationships
Technical knowledge of workplace systems and how facilities, furniture, and technologies integrate to support operations
Passion for employee experience and culture, with creative problem-solving and a track record of designing initiatives that build belonging
