Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (STARLINK PCB)</strong></p> <p>SpaceX is leveraging our experience building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s largest satellite constellation and most advanced broadband internet system. We provide reliable and fast internet to millions of users worldwide, including populations with little or no connectivity, rural communities, aircraft, watercraft, and places where existing services are unreliable, too expensive, or disconnected by natural disasters. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system, thousands of satellites and consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing. The Starlink team is seeking out the best-in-class professionals to maximize Starlink’s potential for communities and businesses around the globe.</p> <p>As a supervisor on the Starlink production team, you will spearhead the production of millions of consumer-facing electronic devices that we ship to customers’ homes around the world. You will manage large teams of technicians and assemblers while working closely with manufacturing and design engineers, ultimately driving the transition from prototyping to full-scale production.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and steer the collective efforts of electronics production associates</li> <li>Enforce area standards and run rules (includes bi-annual reviews and disciplinary action)</li> <li>Interface with area leadership and prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals</li> <li>Schedule risk identification and mitigation</li> <li>Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions</li> <li>Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications</li> <li>Process non-conforming hardware to efficiently return them to conforming state and normal product flow</li> <li>Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and continuous improvement</li> <li>Optimize product flow through the factory</li> <li>Perform root cause analysis and implement corresponding corrective action plans</li> <li>Identify and eliminate defects within the area value stream</li> <li>Reduce downtime for product and personnel</li> <li>Support efforts to transition product from engineering development to full rate production</li> <li>Review drawings and technical data packages for manufacturability while providing constructive feedback to engineering/design community</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment in lieu of degree</li> <li>1+ years of experience directly leading a team or project</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing, production, or logistics environment</li> <li>2+ years of experience leading a team or project</li> <li>Lean manufacturing training and experience</li> <li>Experience monitoring, tracking, and continually improving total cost equation</li> <li>Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methods</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to read, interpret controlled documentation and processes such as: cable harnesses, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, GDT, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists</li> <li>Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis</li> <li>Experience with PCB manufacturing processes including copper electroplating, chemic ...
