<p>We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Reston, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for administrative operations, monitoring, and alerting of our critical Corporate Technology infrastructure and services. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across a diverse Information Technology landscape, including enterprise networking, systems, datacenter, cloud environments, and applications. <br><br>The Network Operations center is responsible for tier 2+ escalated requests and incidents for Corporate Technology services and infrastructure at Anduril. You will:</p>

<li>Identify operational patterns and explore opportunities for automation.</li>
<li>Develop training initiatives and create comprehensive documentation.</li>
<li>Maintain a continuous feedback loop with engineering teams.</li>
</ul>
<p>You will function as a key maintainer of Anduril's Corporate Technology services and infrastructure, working closely with engineering teams to maintain, replace, and upgrade systems. Communication is vital; you will keep stakeholders across the business informed on network status and foster relationships built on best practices, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. Furthermore, you will drive workflow efficiencies by identifying redundant tasks and implementing automation to streamline operations.</p>
<h3>WHAT YOU’LL DO</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, implement, deploy, and troubleshoot networking solutions focused on Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport) of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model</li>
<li>Build robust tooling for benchmarking and analyzing network traffic</li>
<li>Monitor network and system health, respond to alerts, and ensure high availability and performance of critical services.</li>
<li>Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networking systems, datacenter infrastructure, and cloud-based environments.</li>
<li>Analyze test network infrastructure, develop recommendations, and implement improvements for network reliability and throughput for edge network</li>
<li>Provide tier 2+ support for escalated requests and incidents related to Anduril’s air gapped networks and infrastructure.</li>
<li>Identify recurring issues and patterns, proposing and implementing automation to reduce manual workloads and improve response times.</li>
<li>Create and maintain detailed documentation and network topologies.</li>
<li>Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure clear communication, operational alignment, and service reliability.</li>
</ul>
<h3>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience with networking protocols and technologies, including: Ad-hoc mesh networking, Secure communication protocols, Software-Defined Networking / SD-WANs, Internet protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, etc., Routing protocols (small and large scale - e.g. mesh routing as well as internet-scale routing across autonomous systems)</li>
<li>Strong understanding of IP data including addressing schemes, IP switches/router interface, gateway functionality, TCP/UDP protocols and the best methods for transfer over data pipe.</li>
