As Manufacturing Engineer, you will leverage deep technical expertise to solve complex manufacturing challenges, drive technology insertion, and ensure the manufacturability of next-generation products from the earliest stages of design. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at real-time problem-solving, and is passionate about driving continuous improvement to optimize production flow, quality, and cost. Executing on this responsibility will entail active collaboration with Anduril teams across Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations. The right person for this role can demonstrate past ownership on solving production challenges with creative solutions in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment.<br><br><br><br><strong>What You'll Do</strong></div> <ul> <li>Provide expert Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) feedback, influencing designs to ensure they are compatible with capable and cost-effective manufacturing processes.</li> <li>Analyze engineering drawings, material selections, and tolerance stacks to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks early in the product lifecycle.</li> <li>Investigate and resolve production line-down situations, assembly problems, process deviations, and tooling issues to minimize downtime and maintain schedule.</li> <li>Provide clear and concise interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to the production team.</li> <li>Develop, maintain, and continuously improve detailed manufacturing work instructions, assembly guides, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity, repeatability, and quality. Manage these requirements within Anduril’s MES.</li> <li>Serve as the technical lead for investigating complex or systemic production issues, conducting deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify fundamental process flaws.</li> <li>Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.</li> <li>Assess the process impact of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and define the necessary requalification and validation activities.</li> <li>Provide support to Supply Chain in the technical qualification and development of critical suppliers, assessing their process capabilities to meet demanding engineering requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate on the design and optimization of workstation and production line layouts to enhance ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.</li> <li>Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and team engagement.</li> </ul> <div><br><br><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></div> <ul> <li>5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, defense, medical device, complex electronics).</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.</li> <li>Proven ability to troubleshoot technical manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis.</li> <li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing and co ...
