<p>Anduril Industries is seeking a Site Lead [General Manager] for our Composites production facility in North Carolina. This position will provide top-level strategic leadership for the growth of the organization and lead communications with key internal and external customers and supplier leadership. The ideal candidate has experience running and scaling a manufacturing organization as it transitions from prototyping into production. It is also strongly encouraged that they have a good understanding of composite manufacturing and/or integration, along with the safety regulations in such industries. This role requires in-depth knowledge of business strategy, corporate finance, and lean manufacturing practices.</p>
<h4>WHAT YOU'LL DO</h4>
<ul>
<li>Drive the composites production facility through a stage of hypergrowth as it scales from prototypes into production.</li>
<li>Develop partnerships with engineering teams across all business lines and facilitate prototype development in service of Anduril new product development.</li>
<li>Responsible for end-to-end ownership of all business functions - including new project definition, production execution, facilities, and staffing.</li>
<li>Own and support the relationships with internal and external customers and vendor senior leadership.</li>
<li>Develop and execute the strategy on expanding Anduril composites production capabilities domestically and abroad, including vertical integration of key supply chain bottlenecks.</li>
<li>Push for continuous improvement of Anduril’s manufacturing processes for composites products, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.</li>
<li>Manage the North Carolina cost center in partnership with a FPA partner to track financial health of budget against goals, drive actions to maintain operating expenses with budget, assess financial data and create strategies to drive toward cost targets.</li>
<li>Drive content preparation for Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews for presentation to Anduril Executives.</li>
<li>Shape and execute the North Carolina composites business strategy in alignment with greater Anduril functions/interests.</li>
</ul>
<h4>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, manufacturing, business management, or a related field.</li>
<li>Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring team leadership and leading complex projects.</li>
<li>Proven experience running teams with 50+ personnel and managing capital expenditure projects of $25M+</li>
<li>Proven ability to work with complex systems through leading both engineering and manufacturing teams.</li>
<li>Experience transitioning products from prototype to full-rate production.</li>
<li>Experience interfacing with leadership and executives - you understand how to cultivate trust and facilitate meetings for and engage with executives.</li>
<li>Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems not only from a data-driven lens, but also in a people-centric way by building strong cross functional relationships across the company and within the hardware engineering organization.</li>
