Fraud Analyst

<p>Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. </p> <p>The Fraud Operations Team at Toast works to prevent fraud for Toast, our customers, and our guests. The team is responsible for fraud prevention across our Fintech suite, from access controls to transaction monitoring. As a <strong>Fraud Analyst</strong>, you will be responsible for reviewing customer accounts with identified suspicious or unusual activity and determining if escalation or reporting is necessary. They will be the front line in defending against fraud and will be expected to provide high-quality operational feedback to the Fraud and Risk Team and other stakeholders to improve Toast’s overall fraud program.</p> <p><strong><em>Work location:</em></strong><em> Bangalore (Hybrid - 2 days in a week at office)</em></p> <p><strong><em>Work Timings:</em></strong><em> Open to work in rotational shifts 24X7 shifts (including night shifts) and flexible to work on Weekends (mandatory)</em></p> <p><strong><em>About this roll* </em></strong><em>(Responsibilities)</em></p> <ul> <li>Monitor fraud queues to eliminate the fraud risk from customer accounts and ensure risky transactions are prevented.</li> <li>Conduct thorough investigations using internal tools to detect fraudulent activity.</li> <li>Review chargeback data to identify meaningful and fraudulent patterns.</li> <li>Deliver a best-in-class, truly delightful experience to Toast restaurants and prospects through successful communication (both written and verbal).</li> <li>Provide insights on fraud trends for different Toast fintech products.</li> <li>Discuss and work on escalations to provide the best solutions for customers.</li> <li>Suggest and implement improvements to existing fraud SOPs and methodologies.</li> <li>Provide insights to Data Analyst, Product, and Engineering Teams to improve existing fraud tools and procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Do you have the right ingredients*? </em></strong><em>(Requirements)</em></p> <ul> <li>Any graduate with 1 to 2 years of experience in an Analyst-level role in a Fraud and Risk environment; </li> <li>Curiosity and strong investigative skills, the ability to form a narrative around large sets of data, and the ability to identify fraud patterns/trends.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives with minimal oversight.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Must be highly motivated and able to work within tight deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to work in flexible work environments and 24/7 shifts.
