The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building and managing a high performing team. This position will serve to assist in creating and ensuring success of OKRs. The Manager, Payroll Operations will oversee a team that will manage system corrections and various banking and benefit functions.</p> <p><strong><em>Work Mode: </em></strong><em>Hybrid (2 days in a week at office)</em></p> <p><strong><em>Work Location: </em></strong><em>Chennai</em></p> <p><strong><em>Work Timings: </em></strong><em>3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST</em></p> <p><strong><em>About this roll* (Responsibilities)</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Educate, manage, train, coach and mentor a team of 8-12 payroll operations specialists </li> <li>Monitor and audit workflow efficiency to identify trends and process improvement opportunities</li> <li>Provide <em>subject matter expertise related to US payroll operations</em></li> <li>Regularly evaluate employee performance and ensure accountability.</li> <li>Drive team success of periodic Objective and Key Results (OKR)</li> <li>Resolve transaction related inquiries for customers and support teams.</li> <li>Responsible for building, maintaining, and occasionally presenting data on key team performance indicators to stakeholders including senior leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Do you have the right ingredients*? </em></strong><em>(Requirements)</em></p> <ul> <li>Overall of 10+ yrs of experience with 4+ years of Banking and ACH experience (US preferred)</li> <li>2+ years of experience owning a process or team project</li> <li>Experience mentoring or being a peer leader</li> <li>Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills including ability to work with all levels of Management</li> <li>Solution-oriented with proven ability to drive results</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Ability to perform multiple tasks, in high paced and fluid environment, and effectively manage time</li> </ul> <p><strong>Special Sauce* (Non-essential Skills/Nice to Haves)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Payroll Service Provider Experience Preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>AI at Toast</strong></p> <p>At Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn.
