About The Role
We're looking to hire a Senior Manager to partner with the Research & Development (R&D) organization at Rippling and manage our rapidly growing infrastructure budget. Infrastructure costs at Rippling span third-party cloud services, observability and security tools, and AI platform costs. The role is based in San Francisco, CA (in-office only). This role will

R&D is critical to building the products that power Rippling’s growth and this position is fundamental to strategically managing our infrastructure investments. This role will be responsible for leading annual and quarterly financial planning activities for infrastructure costs, performance tracking against plan, analysis of new initiatives, and supporting Engineering in the ongoing journey to accurately attribute product-level costs across the Rippling portfolio.

Work closely with Engineering leadership, cross-functional partners, and colleagues across the Finance organization
Drive the annual and quarterly planning processes and enable strategic decisions that optimize our significant infrastructure investment
Lead the monthly close and re-forecast process, including monthly live reviews with Engineering leadership
Coordinate with Accounting partners to ensure bi-directional flow of information during close cycles
Become the Finance expert on our third-party cloud cost management platform

Partner with the business and cross-functional team members to develop and maintain robust, scalable forecasting models
Coordinate and prepare materials for executive review, including for board meetings
What you will need
Minimum 8+ years of experience in high-growth technology, strategic finance, investing, and/or investment banking. Experience partnering with Engineering and Product teams strongly preferred.
Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills, with a demonstrated track record of owning complex models. Experience operating in a public company or public-company–ready environment is a plus
Experience managing infrastructure costs in a high growth SaaS company preferred but not required
Proven ability to operate independently at a senior level, managing multiple large workstreams, setting priorities, and driving outcomes through cross-functional influence rather than authority
Familiarity with Anaplan or other FP&A planning tools
SQL experience preferred but not required
Organized, attentive to detail, and intellectually curious
Ability to navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
Excellent communication - written, verbal, and presentation
Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field, MBA or equivalent preferred
