Who We Are Culdesac is a real estate developer and neighborhood manager of walkable, mixed-use communities designed to embrace a culture of belonging, transportation freedom, and thriving local businesses. We built Culdesac Tempe, the first car-free community built from scratch in the US. Located directly on the light rail in Tempe, Arizona, it is already home to over 350 residents and 23 local businesses, and it will have 1000+ residents at completion. The Role Culdesac is growing our team and looking for a Porter at Culdesac Tempe to help with our mission. As a Porter, you will be an integral part of our real estate and leasing vision. This role directly impacts the experience of our current and future residents. You are a self-starting, organized professional that thrives in performing ongoing neighborhood maintenance. You are scrappy, energetic, and have the ability to keep a neighborhood operating and repair any problems as they arise. The Requirements While this list represents what we are ideally looking for, we encourage you to apply even if your resume includes strengths and experiences that don’t match everything listed here. Experience being onsite and executing the day-to-day operations of a community, which includes systems and space for both residential and commercial spaces. This is more important to us than a specific # of years of experience, but we expect most to need at least 2-3 years in the industry to gain this knowledge. With this experience: You are responsible for service work to maintain our neighborhood. You are responsible for landscaping maintenance and irrigation systems, including identifying leaks, adjusting timers, troubleshooting basic irrigation issues, and maintaining outdoor common areas. You will learn our service operation systems and utilize our operating system. You will prioritize and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. You will conduct regular inspections of property and equipment and complete ongoing maintenance to prevent future problems. You will apply preventative measures to the property to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a Seasonal HVAC check ups. You will assist in the preparation of units. You will maintain the company's brand by delivering a quality experience when responding to customer needs and resolving issues. You will review and respond to Resident Satisfaction Surveys as related to their satisfaction with the maintenance performed in their home. You have a do whatever it takes attitude and you are willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
