This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist to work within a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting adults with a range of communication and swallowing disorders.</p> <p data-start="788" data-end="1109">You will manage an adult acute inpatient caseload, delivering high-quality assessment and intervention for patients with complex needs, including dysphagia. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery, safety, and quality of life during their hospital admission.</p> <hr data-start="1111" data-end="1114"> <h3 data-start="1116" data-end="1142">Key Responsibilities</h3> <p data-start="1143" data-end="1798">In this role, you will:<br data-start="1166" data-end="1169">• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties within an acute inpatient setting.<br data-start="1307" data-end="1310">• Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs.<br data-start="1386" data-end="1389">• Undertake dysphagia assessments and contribute to safe swallowing management plans.<br data-start="1474" data-end="1477">• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing, and therapy colleagues.<br data-start="1590" data-end="1593">• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.<br data-start="1702" data-end="1705">• Contribute to service development and clinical discussions as appropriate to banding level.</p> <hr data-start="1800" data-end="1803"> <h3 data-start="1805" data-end="1840">Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p data-start="1841" data-end="2327">To be considered for this role, you must have:<br data-start="1887" data-end="1890">• A UK-recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).<br data-start="1962" data-end="1965">• HCPC registration and membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).<br data-start="2063" data-end="2066">• Experience working with an adult acute inpatient caseload (NHS experience desirable but not essential).<br data-start="2171" data-end="2174">• Postgraduate dysphagia training and confidence managing swallowing disorders.<br data-start="2253" data-end="2256">• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time-management skills.</p> <hr data-start="2329" data-end="2332"> <h3 data-start="2334" data-end="2357">Why Choose Pulse?</h3> <p data-start="2358" data-end="2730">From the moment you register with Pulse, our focus is entirely on you.
