<p data-start="378" data-end="700">We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to provide a highly specialist service within an acute hospital setting in South Yorkshire. This role focuses on supporting adults presenting with a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties, including dysphagia.</p>
<p data-start="702" data-end="1047">You will play a vital role within the multidisciplinary team, delivering expert assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients with complex needs. This opportunity is well suited to a Band 6 or Band 7 clinician who is confident working independently in an acute environment and passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.</p>

<h3 data-start="1054" data-end="1080">Key Responsibilities</h3>
<p data-start="1081" data-end="1106">In this role, you will:</p>
<ul data-start="1107" data-end="1750">

<p data-start="1109" data-end="1253">Provide a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties, including dysphagia.</p>
</li>

<p data-start="1256" data-end="1375">Undertake comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients within an acute hospital setting.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1376" data-end="1461">
<p data-start="1378" data-end="1461">Offer specialist clinical advice and support to the wider multidisciplinary team.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1462" data-end="1530">
<p data-start="1464" data-end="1530">Manage and prioritise a complex clinical caseload independently.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1531" data-end="1650">
<p data-start="1533" data-end="1650">Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation in line with service and professional standards.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1651" data-end="1750">
<p data-start="1653" data-end="1750">Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives where appropriate.</p>

<h3 data-start="1757" data-end="1792">Qualifications and Experience</h3>
<p data-start="1793" data-end="1841">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p>
<ul data-start="1842" data-end="2346">
<li data-start="1842" data-end="1913">
<p data-start="1844" data-end="1913">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1914" data-end="2030">
<p data-start="1916" data-end="2030">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2031" data-end="2148">
<p data-start="2033" data-end="2148">Proven experience working with adults with dysphagia and communication disorders in an acute or hospital setting.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2149" data-end="2224">
<p data-start="2151" data-end="2224">Strong clinical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.</p>
