<h3 data-start="395" data-end="411">Job Overview</h3>
<p data-start="412" data-end="749">We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated <strong data-start="461" data-end="501">Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist</strong> to join an <strong data-start="513" data-end="546">Adult Acute Inpatient service</strong> based at <strong data-start="556" data-end="589">St Thomas’ Hospital in London</strong>. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist looking to further develop their clinical skills within a fast-paced acute hospital environment.</p>
<p data-start="751" data-end="1072">You will work with adults presenting with a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties, contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care across acute inpatient wards. The role offers exposure to complex caseloads and the opportunity to work as part of a supportive, well-established multidisciplinary team.</p>
<h3 data-start="1074" data-end="1098">Key Responsibilities</h3>
<p data-start="1099" data-end="1122">In this role, you will:</p>
<ul data-start="1123" data-end="1618">
<li data-start="1123" data-end="1242">
<p data-start="1125" data-end="1242">Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders within an acute inpatient setting.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1243" data-end="1319">
<p data-start="1245" data-end="1319">Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient needs.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1320" data-end="1427">
<p data-start="1322" data-end="1427">Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and therapy colleagues as part of the multidisciplinary team.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1428" data-end="1537">
<p data-start="1430" data-end="1537">Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1538" data-end="1618">
<p data-start="1540" data-end="1618">Participate in service development, audits, and clinical meetings as required.</p>

<h3 data-start="1620" data-end="1653">Qualifications and Experience</h3>
<p data-start="1654" data-end="1700">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p>
<ul data-start="1701" data-end="2104">
<li data-start="1701" data-end="1770">
<p data-start="1703" data-end="1770">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1771" data-end="1885">
<p data-start="1773" data-end="1885">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1886" data-end="1956">
<p data-start="1888" data-end="1956">Previous experience working with adult acute or inpatient caseloads.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="1957" data-end="2027">
<p data-start="1959" data-end="2027">Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills.</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2028" data-end="2104">
<p data-start="2030" data-end="2104">The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</p>
