This role is based primarily at Clayponds Hospital Outpatient Site, with services delivered across a range of community settings.</p> <p data-start="722" data-end="1108">You will work with adults presenting with communication and/or swallowing disorders, providing high-quality, person-centred care across outpatient clinics, clients’ own homes, residential homes and nursing homes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 therapist looking to develop their autonomous practice within a supportive and well-established community service.</p> <hr data-start="1110" data-end="1113"> <h3 data-start="1115" data-end="1141">Key Responsibilities</h3> <p data-start="1142" data-end="1167">In this role, you will:</p> <ul data-start="1168" data-end="1812"> <li data-start="1168" data-end="1292"> <p data-start="1170" data-end="1292">Assess, differentially diagnose, set goals with, treat and manage adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders.</p> </li> <li data-start="1293" data-end="1361"> <p data-start="1295" data-end="1361">Manage and prioritise a varied community caseload independently.</p> </li> <li data-start="1362" data-end="1486"> <p data-start="1364" data-end="1486">Deliver specialist Speech and Language Therapy interventions as an autonomous practitioner within the Adult SLT service.</p> </li> <li data-start="1487" data-end="1614"> <p data-start="1489" data-end="1614">Provide therapy across multiple settings including outpatient clinics, clients’ homes, residential homes and nursing homes.</p> </li> <li data-start="1615" data-end="1710"> <p data-start="1617" data-end="1710">Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with professional and service standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1711" data-end="1812"> <p data-start="1713" data-end="1812">Contribute to service development and work collaboratively within the wider multidisciplinary team.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1814" data-end="1817"> <h3 data-start="1819" data-end="1854">Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p data-start="1855" data-end="1903">To be considered for this role, you must have:</p> <ul data-start="1904" data-end="2382"> <li data-start="1904" data-end="1975"> <p data-start="1906" data-end="1975">A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).</p> </li> <li data-start="1976" data-end="2092"> <p data-start="1978" data-end="2092">HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).</p> </li> <li data-start="2093" data-end="2221"> <p data-start="2095" data-end="2221">Experience working with adults with communication and/or swallowing disorders, including stroke and neurological conditions.</p> </li> <li data-start="2222" data-end="2293"> <p data-start="2224" data-end="2293">Strong clinical reasoning, organisational and communication skills.</p> </li> <li data-start="2294" data-end="2382"> <p data-start="2296" data-end="2382">The ability to work indep ...
