<p><strong>Senior Pharmacy Technician – Clinical Trials</strong></p> <p><strong>Band 4–5 Development Role</strong><br><strong>Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT)</strong><br><strong>37.5 Hours per Week | Clinical Trials Experience Preferred (Not Essential)</strong><br><strong>Aseptic Experience Alone Not Accepted</strong></p> <p><strong>🌟 Job Overview</strong></p> <p>Pulse are now recruiting an experienced and motivated <strong>Senior Pharmacy Technician</strong> to support Clinical Trials services at <strong>Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT)</strong> — one of the UK’s largest, most innovative NHS organisations.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, research‑driven pharmacy team delivering safe, compliant, and efficient technical services across a wide portfolio of clinical trials.</p> <p><strong>📝 Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>As the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Clinical Trials), you will:</p> <ul> <li>Support the day‑to‑day running of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy service</li> <li>Work alongside Senior Clinical Trials Technicians to ensure safe and compliant handling of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs)</li> <li>Assist in developing trial processes aligned with Trust strategies and study requirements</li> <li>Ensure all trial activity follows legislation, GCP, and local governance procedures</li> <li>Coordinate staffing within the trials area and contribute to workforce planning</li> <li>Promote strong teamworking across the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team</li> <li>Support training, competency assessments, and development of technical staff</li> <li>Maintain safe systems of work including COSHH, infection control, and statutory standards</li> </ul> <p><strong>📍 Location</strong></p> <p><strong>Oxford Road Campus – Manchester Royal Infirmary (MFT)</strong></p> <p><strong>💼 Working Hours</strong></p> <p><strong>37.5 hours per week</strong><br>Full‑time, Monday–Friday (on‑site)</p> <p><strong>🎓 Qualifications Experience Required</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science</li> <li>GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician</li> <li>Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (ACT Level 4)</li> <li>Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable (Not Essential):</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Clinical Trials Pharmacy experience</strong> – full training will be provided</li> </ul> <p><strong>Important:</strong><br>❌ <strong>Aseptic experience alone will NOT be accepted as a substitute</strong> for the technical and regulatory requirements of clinical trials.</p> <p><strong>📨 How to Apply</strong></p> <p>If you're looking to develop your career within Clinical Trials and want to join a forward‑thinking, supportive NHS Trust, please get in touch today.</p>
