<p><strong>Banding:</strong> Band 4<br><strong>Location:</strong> Inpatient Pharmacy – Charing Cross St Mary’s<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> 02/02/26<br><strong>Duration:</strong> 2 months (with potential extension depending on recruitment progress)<br><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (30‑minute lunch)<br><strong>Hours per Day:</strong> 7.5<br><strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> Competitive, depending on experience</p>
<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an experienced Band 4 Lead Pharmacy Assistant to support the Inpatient Pharmacy teams at both Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. This role is ideal for a motivated and organised pharmacy assistant with strong hospital experience and confidence using CMM/JAC systems.</p>
<p>You will play a key part in delivering an efficient, safe and patient‑centred pharmacy service, supporting dispensary workflow, managing stock, and providing leadership to other pharmacy assistants within the team.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and support the pharmacy assistant team within the inpatient dispensary.</li>
<li>Ensure safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of inpatient and discharge medications.</li>
<li>Use CMM/JAC systems for dispensing, stock management and workflow processes.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records, labelling, and stock control across both inpatient pharmacy sites.</li>
<li>Provide support to pharmacists and technicians as required, ensuring smooth service delivery.</li>
<li>Assist with training and onboarding of junior assistants or new staff members.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with local SOPs, medicines legislation and safety protocols.</li>
<li>Contribute to service improvements, workflow optimisation and excellent patient care.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills Experience Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Essential: Previous hospital pharmacy experience.</li>
<li>Essential: Confident using CMM/JAC.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.</li>
<li>Effective communication skills and ability to lead by example.</li>
<li>Experience working in a fast‑paced dispensary environment.</li>
