<p><strong>Job Title: Band 5 Pharmacy Technician <br>Banding:</strong> Band 5<br><strong>Location:</strong> William Harvey Hospital (East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust)<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> 2nd March 2026<br><strong>Duration:</strong> Until 5th June 2026<br><strong>Working Hours:</strong> 9:00–17:30 (with 1?hour lunch)<br><strong>Reason for Booking:</strong> Maternity Leave Cover<br><strong>Job Overview</strong><br>We are seeking a dedicated <strong>Band 5 Pharmacy Technician</strong> to support the Pharmacy Clinical Services team at <strong>William Harvey Hospital</strong>. This block booking offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high?quality patient care within a well?established NHS Trust.<br>The successful candidate will work across hospital wards providing essential clinical pharmacy services, with a strong focus on medicines reconciliation and accuracy checking.<br>This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists looking to broaden their clinical experience within an acute hospital setting.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Completing medicines reconciliations on hospital wards</li>
<li>Carrying out accuracy checking duties</li>
<li>Conducting CD audits in line with Trust policy</li>
<li>Delivering patient counselling and supporting safe discharge</li>
<li>Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams</li>
<li>Providing cross?site cover as required (including QEQM)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications Experience Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>GPhC?registered Pharmacy Technician</li>
<li>Previous hospital experience is essential, especially in medicines reconciliation</li>
<li>ACPT qualification is desirable, but not essential</li>
<li>Strong communication and clinical prioritisation skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently within a fast?paced environment</li>
