<p><strong>Job Title: Band 7 Pharmacist<br>Banding:</strong> Band 7<br><strong>Location:</strong> Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital (Margate)<br><strong>Start Date:</strong> 2nd February 2026<br><strong>Duration:</strong> Until 27th March 2026<br><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00<br><strong>Hourly Rate:</strong> Inside NHS Agency Caps<br><strong>Job Overview</strong><br>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Band 7 Pharmacist</strong> to deliver high?quality, advanced clinical pharmacy services within the <strong>Emergency Department</strong> at Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital.<br>The successful candidate will manage complex patients, support pharmacy technicians within the Emergency Department, and contribute to policy development for this specialist area.<br>This role requires a confident, autonomous clinician who can work effectively as part of a fast?paced multidisciplinary Emergency Medicine team while ensuring safe, effective, and evidence?based medicines optimisation.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services within the Emergency Department</li>
<li>Manage complex patients requiring specialist pharmaceutical input</li>
<li>Support and supervise two pharmacy technicians working in the department</li>
<li>Contribute to policy and guideline development for Emergency Medicine</li>
<li>Participate fully within the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent medicines optimisation</li>
<li>Attend monthly Care Group Governance meetings and Medication Safety meetings</li>
<li>Provide support to core pharmacy services, including:
<ul>
<li>Dispensary cover</li>
<li>Extended hours service on the acute medical floor</li>
<li>On?call commitments</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Contribute to a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across Acute Emergency Medicine</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications Experience Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>GPhC?registered Pharmacist</li>
<li>Significant NHS hospital clinical experience at Band 7 level or equivalent</li>
<li>Strong background in acute, emergency, or general medicine</li>
<li>Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and multidisciplinary working skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently within a high?pressure clinical environment</li>
