<p></p> <h3><strong>Job Title:</strong> Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist</h3> <h3><strong>Banding:</strong> Band 7–8b (depending on experience) </h3> <h3><strong>Location:</strong> Multiple Residential Sites across Manchester</h3> <h3><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Full-Time (On-site only)</h3> <h3><strong>Salary:</strong> Competitive, dependent on experience (Band 7–8b)</h3> <p>Pulse are recruiting an HCPC registered Psychologist to join a specialist residential service supporting children and young people with complex trauma, autism, and learning disabilities. This is a full-time, on-site role working across several sites in the greater Manchester region. Sponsorship is available for eligible applicants (must be HCPC registered), and the role offers a unique opportunity to lead psychological therapies within a trauma-informed framework.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <p>As a Psychologist, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver specialist psychological assessments and therapy to children and young people with severe and enduring mental health needs.</li> <li>Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs.</li> <li>Lead psychological input across services, embedding trauma-informed care principles.</li> <li>Provide consultation, guidance, and supervision to non-psychologist colleagues, trainees, and assistants.</li> <li>Contribute to service development through research, audit, and teaching.</li> <li>Work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining autonomy within professional guidelines.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Sponsorship available for eligible candidates</li> <li>Mileage paid at £0.45 per mile (after first 20 miles from home)</li> <li>Private medical insurance post-probation</li> <li>Confidential Employee Assistance Programme</li> <li>Opportunities for further training in CFT, DBT, Dynamic Dyadic Psychotherapy, and Systemic Practice</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></h3> <p>We welcome applications from candidates who:</p> <ul> <li>Are HCPC-registered Psychologists</li> <li>Have experience working with children and young people, ideally in residential or trauma-informed settings</li> <li>Are confident in psychological formulation and therapeutic delivery across a range of models</li> <li>Can work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Don’t meet every requirement?</strong> We still encourage you to apply – we value diverse experiences and perspectives.</p> <h3><strong>How to Apply:</strong></h3> <p>Apply directly through the Pulse website.
