<p></p> <p data-start="176" data-end="374">A specialist healthcare service is seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team on an 18-bed male and female Eating Disorder Ward. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.</p> <p data-start="376" data-end="534">The hospital provides comprehensive inpatient mental health services in a safe and supportive environment, focused on helping patients live their best life.</p> <hr data-start="536" data-end="539"> <h3 data-start="541" data-end="569"><strong data-start="545" data-end="569">What you’ll be doing</strong></h3> <p data-start="571" data-end="706">You will join a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing, using a personalised, evidence-based approach to support recovery.</p> <p data-start="708" data-end="737">Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul data-start="739" data-end="1339"> <li data-start="739" data-end="903"> <p data-start="741" data-end="903">Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and developing a therapeutic environment.</p> </li> <li data-start="904" data-end="997"> <p data-start="906" data-end="997">Acting as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</p> </li> <li data-start="998" data-end="1100"> <p data-start="1000" data-end="1100">Supervising referral and admission processes, including contributing to pre-admission assessments.</p> </li> <li data-start="1101" data-end="1220"> <p data-start="1103" data-end="1220">Providing a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, formulation, and treatment.</p> </li> <li data-start="1221" data-end="1339"> <p data-start="1223" data-end="1339">Participating in management and clinical governance meetings and contributing to service development and strategy.</p> </li> </ul> <p data-start="1341" data-end="1406">Further information is available in the attached job description.</p> <hr data-start="1408" data-end="1411"> <h3 data-start="1413" data-end="1450"><strong data-start="1417" data-end="1450">What you’ll bring to the role</strong></h3> <p data-start="1452" data-end="1566">The role is rewarding but challenging, requiring resilience, empathy, and flexibility.
